Mr Popper’s Penguins

I watched the trailer for Jim Carrey’s new movie, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, today. The entire time I was watching the trailer I was thinking “Aren’t there supposed to be more penguins than that?” “Is Mr. Popper supposed to be yelling at the penguins?” “Why did they pick Jim Carrey to be Mr. Popper?” This may be one of those movies I should just avoid. I absolutely loved this book when I was in elementary school and if they don’t stick closely to the plot I may get upset.

I’m actually surprised that this wasn’t made into a movie years ago- the book was written in 1988 by Richard Atwater. I guess they really are running out of original ideas for new movies.
