Kickstarter, Titanic, Ray Bradbury and the Kindness Cab

Wonderful children’s book project up on Kickstarter- Hapenny Magic by Jennifer Carson. The rewards for this Kickstarter project are amazing: $5 gets you a bookmark signed by the author, $10 gets you a signed and dedicated soft cover copy of the book plus the bookmark and the rewards get even better from there.

I had always heard that the Titanic did not have enough lifeboats for the amount of people on board, but up until now I didn’t know that they actually had more than they were required to by the British Board of Trade. NPR Books reviews How to Survive the Titanic by Frances Wilson.

“I’m interested in having fun with ideas, throwing them up in the air like confetti and then running under them.” An in depth interview with the amazing author Ray Bradbury, from the Paris Review.

Kindness Cab– Leon Logothetis will be traveling through 11 different cities in a vintage cab giving free rides to people. The meter will be kept running to tally up the amount that will be donated to a local school to help them buy books. I may have teared up a little when I read this. What an amazing project!
